The Appleton City RII School District serves students from
St. Clair and Bates County. The school is strongly supported by the communities
of Appleton City, Rockville, Taberville, Hudson, and the many families living
within the school's boundaries.
The Appleton City school curriculum offers academic preparation for the college bound student and
vocational training through the local Vocational Trades School located in Clinton.
The Appleton City School offers a variety of extra curricular programs to reach a wide area of student
interests. The district employs 44 certified staff, 21 support staff and 3 administrators.
The student to teacher ration is 13 to 1, which allows for a high quality education and the opportunity
for teachers to get to know their students.
The mission of the district is to produce students with the skills necessary to be productive,
self-supporting citizens in an ever-changing world.
An Accredited school identified by the Department of Secondary and Elementary Education of the State
of Missouri, we are proud to serve the students and families of the Appleton City RII School District.
The School Mascot is the Bulldog and the school colors are red and
blue. The school is rich in academic and athletic tradition.
Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Appleton City School R-II school district to serve
the students and parents of our district. We will continue to work to improve
ourselves professionally and personally in order to be positive examples and
to provide a supportive educational environment for all students. We will produce
students with the skills necessary to be productive, self-supporting citizens in
an ever-changing world by encouraging growth in their intellectual, physical,
social and career development.
